Cozy Cottage Dress

This is one of my favorite dresses ! So unique …..l can’t tell you how many compliments l got on it ! It is sweet . I loved , loved the big pockets , too ! I got it in a medium with plenty of room ! I don’t dress like everyone else , so all my April Cornell Clothing gets a lot of attention ! Just one more to add to my collection !

I bought this dress for myself and loved it so much that I bought 4 more for birthday gifts for my daughters and sister. If one could imprint fabric with the things we love; Home-Sweet-Home, tea , a flower, a candle, even a little bird…well this dress represents all of that. I absolutely love it!

This is the second pinafore-style dress for me, and I love the ease of movement, feel and drape and heavier weight. It’s perfect for autumn and winter. I was glad I read reviews that said to size down…I’m 5-6, 145lbs, and usually wear M but the small fits perfectly. Big issue I had was the patch pockets, which flap open unflatteringly when hands are not in them. I love the dress though so have folded the extra fabric over and sewn them so they fit more flat against the skirt. Worth it. I’ll wear this over and over.

Pockets are bigger then appear

From the picture I was not expecting this to be a dark muddy brown! Also, maybe I received a second. I did purchase it on sale. The applique on the bodice is crooked and the pockets look like balloons. I love big pockets but these are super sized and puffy. The stitching is uneven and wandering. Very poor quality all around. Quite disappointing.

This truly is cozy, comfortable, cute, kind of old-fashioned, and definitely UNIQUE. The color is neutral enough that many different colors of tops could be paired with it.

I've received so many compliments on this dress! Everyone wants to know where I got it! It's a keeper, for sure! Love the pockets!

if you’re looking for a well-designed layered look that offers comfort in addition to a Lagenlook Style this could be a piece for you. Lagenlook style clothing means layered. Loose... creative. what I like about the dress is the gorgeous color and heavier fabric. Plenty of room to put layers under.
