A great everyday dress to feel pretty in
I'm very pleased with the Shopkeeper dress and wear it often. It is a darker purple than I expected. I had to return my regular size L for an XL because L was snug on the bust (41”). It pairs perfectly with an April Cornell slip, I would not wear it without the slip because the side slits and front slit are quite high, and also the fabric is thin and almost sheer. With the slip it feels great on. Matches well with a variety of tops, from a floral blouse to a white shirt to a black knit top. It’s not too dressy or fussy for daily use but feels so pretty and feminine.

Pinafore Dress
Within an hour of wearing it, the ribbon attached to the dress, functioned for a belt, fell off. It was not pulled too tight, nonetheless with a simple turn, the seam ripped apart. The pockets are plenty deep, and can fit lots of things that are uncommon to see in a dress pocket (which I very much appreciate), and the color of the dress is beautiful. It is a gorgeous piece, but be advised that you should know how to sew before purchasing.

I love this dress and all things April Cornell. The fabric is thin, so I can wear it in the south several seasons. It makes me feel like a Jane Austen character!
