Jacobean Dress
This dress washed nicely. I hung it to dry and it did not need to be ironed. The sleeve length is awkward and unflattering, which is the reason for 4 stars, I took the advice of another reviewer and added elastic to the cuff and now it looks and feels great. A really comfortable dress.

Plus size review
I ordered my usual size of 3X. Always amazed how carefully and neatly each item from April Cornell is sewn. Could wear the dress inside out (teasing). Very modest. Bodice fits well. Nice dress for church or every day wear. Plan to order more dresses from April Cornell.

Like all of April’s dresses, the fabric is exquisite as is the quality of the construction.

Needs work
I love the fabric and the idea of this dress, however it had several issues for me: 1- sleeve cuffs were tiny, awkward, and unadjastable. (I like to be able to push my sleeves up at certain times.) I am a seamstress, so I cut the cuffs off and added my own elastic to make them adjustable and comfortable. 2-the wrap top just fell wrong on my slightly bigger bust. I ultimately removed the snap and just allow it to fall open and show my slip underneath. I may add a different closure later, but if you are busty, I would pass on this dress. I purchased this on sale so I was willing to modify it to keep. I wear dresses every day and have pretty specific needs and likes. April Cornell dresses meet most of them. Overall, not the best dress on the site.
